Terms of Service

Effective October 4, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mainor Media LLC ("we", "us"), the operator of Pubinator. They apply when you create an account, accept an invitation to a publication, or upload files through a file-request link. By using Pubinator you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The service

Pubinator helps publications plan issues, edit articles, manage media and ads, run review rounds and collect files from contributors. We may change, add or remove features over time.

Accounts

• Accurate information. Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Account security. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
• Age. You must be at least 13, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• Publication access. Your access to a publication is controlled by that publication's administrators, who can change your roles or remove you.

Your content

The articles, images, files and other material you or your publication put into Pubinator ("content") remain yours or your publication's. You give us permission to host, store, copy, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you and your publication. That includes sending it to our service providers, such as file storage, email, text messaging and, when your publication has switched them on, AI features.

You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

AI features

Some optional features use AI to suggest text, such as image descriptions, headlines or copyedits. Suggestions can be wrong. Nothing is applied until a person accepts it, and you are responsible for reviewing what you accept. Your publication's administrators decide whether these features are available.

Text messages (SMS)

If you add a mobile number and opt in on your profile page, Pubinator will send you text messages about your publications. Examples are new review rounds and messages from your editors. Outside contributors may also get a text with a file-upload link when a publication includes their number on a file request.

• Frequency: varies with your publications' activity.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply.
• Stopping texts: reply STOP at any time, or untick the text-message option on your profile page.
• Help: reply HELP, or contact us at hello@pubinator.com.
• Delivery: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Consent: agreeing to texts is not a condition of using Pubinator.

Acceptable use

Don't use Pubinator to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• upload malware or anything designed to harm systems;
• try to get into accounts, publications or data you aren't authorized to use, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission;
• send spam, or harass anyone, through invitations, messages, file requests or text messages;
• overload or interfere with the service, or scrape it with automated tools.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Pubinator and delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will give notice first.

Disclaimers

Pubinator is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pubinator is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim and US $100.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell account holders by email about significant changes. Continuing to use Pubinator after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
